On 16 February, Amstor national retail chain opened its eighth store of the ‘Supermarket of Taste’ format in Donetsk.
The store is located in the city centre, at 11 Prospekt Tamanskiy (next to Donetsk City trade centre) and occupies a two-storey shopping centre with a supermarket on the ground floor and leased-out outlets on the first floor. The store’s sales area is 801 square meters; whereas the shopping centre’s total floorspace runs up to 1,193 square meters.The supermarket traditionally offers a wide range of goods of its own production as well as products manufactured under Amstor’s trademarks.
It will be recalled that the company is planning to open seven new supermarkets in 2013 to expand its network up to 33 stores throughout Ukraine. In the short term, new stores are planned to be opened in Kiev, Donetsk and Zaporozhye.
