Julia Kiryanova is traveling a lot these weeks. London, Brussels, Munich. The CEO of Ukrainian Smart Holding is campaigning for support for Ukraine - and for future investors there. But at home in Kiev, where Smart Holding is based, Kiryanova has to deal with two crises at once - the war and a dispute between the Ukrainian government and the founder of the company she is responsible for.

UAH 8.8 million in taxes and UAH 14 million for humanitarian projects is Smart Maritime Group's contribution to the economic support of our country in 2023. And all this despite the constant massive shelling by the Russian occupiers, which made shipbuilding at the company's shipyards impossible.

1.8 bln UAH of taxes and payments to budgets of different levels were paid by Smart Energy Group based on work results in 2023. Also, 150 mln m3 of gas, 17 t of condensate and 11.5 thous t of LPG were produced at the Group's assets. This is a responsible contribution of gas production business of production and investment group Smart-Holding in supporting the economy of Ukraine during the war.

After more than a year and a half of break, Smart Maritime Group has started ship repair at the facilities of the Mykolaiv Shipyard. The first “client” after the forced pause was DELTA III, a tugboat built in 2006.

On the evening of October 11, one of the gas production facilities operated by Smart Energy Group in Kharkiv was attacked by Shahed drones.

Introduction of sanctions (regardless of whether they are legally applied to a citizen of Ukraine or not) should deprive the aggressor state of resources, instead of harming the State of Ukraine, its economy and citizens. With this message Ukrgazvydobutok company from Smart Energy Group appealed to the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Social Policy in connection with the ongoing deterioration of negative consequences caused by suspension of the special permit for production of hydrocarbons at Ostroverkhivske field owned by the company.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Smart Holding Group, including the ownership share in Metinvest, has donated almost USD 41 million (or UAH 1.3 billion) to help Ukraine. The key areas of assistance from the holding company are support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and internally displaced persons, as well as socially important facilities. In the context of the war, special attention is paid to providing military and healthcare facilities and institutions with the necessary materials.

Smart-Holding Group continues its humanitarian projects and provides assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
