Chernomorsky Shipbuilding Yard (ChSY, Nikolaev City, Ukraine) has floated off a hull of the multi-purpose CF3850 vessel for Dutch company Damen Shipyards Bergum.
The vessel is meant for transportation of dry cargoes and containers. The hull is fitted out with removable twin decks; the design of the bulkhead and grain compartments has been modified significantly.
The length overall of the vessel (LOA) is 88.6 m, its width (beam) is 12.5 m, the hull height is 7 m, its deadweight is 3,800 t and its draught is 5.4 m. The first vessel of this family for the Dutch company was heaved off in 2010.
‘Chernomorsky Shipbuilding Yard has floated out the fifth multi-purpose vessel for our Dutch partners, Damen Shipyards Bergum Company. Today, we are in negotiations with potential clients for a similar kind of product since we offer more competitive price compared to foreign shipyards,’ said Valeriy Kalashnikov, the CEO of ChSY.

The State Budget of Ukraine Received 41% Less Taxes from Smart Holding in the First 9 Months of 2025
As of January–September 2025, the Group’s companies paid 543 million UAH in taxes, which is 41% less than in the same period last year (915 million UAH). This reduction occurred, among other reasons, due to increased government pressure and the blocking of gas production assets of the publicly listed British company Enwell Energy.
