Ukrgazvydobutok PJSC (part of Smart Energy Group) commissioned a new appraisal-development well No 28 at Ostroverhivske gas-condensate field in Kharkiv region. Well depth is 4,620 m.

The drilling was successfully completed in April 2018. During project execution Smart Energy technical team developed and successfully implemented the series of latest technical solutions in relation to the well design, perforation and re-perforation as well as testing of the pay zone. They were aimed at preserving producing reservoir properties. A number of technical solutions was implemented for the first time in Ukraine.

According to CEO of Smart Energy Group Sergii Glazunov: «The well successfully delivered its geological target. The gas was produced from deeper Visean sands, which are new object for this field. Also due to the usage of new advanced perforation technology we managed to get gas inflow higher than expected».

As a reminder, in 2017 comparing to 2016 Smart Energy increased its natural gas inflow by 8.5% from 208.4 mln m3 to 226.3 mln m3 . It has become possible due to commissioning of new wells, in particular well No 109 of MEX-GOL field (Poltava region).

At the moment well No 10 of Vasyshevo field (Kharkiv region) is under drilling.

The State Budget of Ukraine Received 41% Less Taxes from Smart Holding in the First 9 Months of 2025
As of January–September 2025, the Group’s companies paid 543 million UAH in taxes, which is 41% less than in the same period last year (915 million UAH). This reduction occurred, among other reasons, due to increased government pressure and the blocking of gas production assets of the publicly listed British company Enwell Energy.
