Smart Energy Group completed two workovers in Kharkiv oblast

PrJSC Ukrgazvydobutok, a part of Smart Energy Group, completed successfully two workovers and resumed operation of two wells in Ostroverkhivske field, Kharkiv oblast. The results of workovers enabled the group to increase its average daily production rate up to 75 K m3/day in 2020.

The workover of well #61 was completed in a limited time-frames. It was started at the end of January, while in the beginning of March well operation was resumed with a daily production rate of 25 K m3/day.

In the beginning of April Ukrgazvydobutok also resumed operation of well #62. Well recompletion resulted commercial inflow of hydrocarbons from the horizon B-15 for the first time and, consequently, confirmed its commercial importance for further development. Currently, the company carries out geological and industrial surveys that are aimed at defining the most efficient well operating conditions. In accordance with the initial surveys the optimum rate of well flow makes 50 K m3/day. Besides increase of production, the results of workover of well #62 enables to increase reserves and resource base of the field.

“The positive outcomes, we have due to the workovers, are the result of planning and performance management of good quality, of orchestrated actions by the professional team members of the company. In order to ensure as efficient works as possible we also applied the latest highly efficient technologies and materials as well as unique technical solutions at the stage of perforation and testing,” commented Viktor Dudzych, CTO of Smart Energy Group.

Earlier, in 2019 the companies of Smart Energy Group increased hydrocarbons production. The total production of gas is 24.7% up y-o-y and gas condensate production is 28.7% up y-o-y.

As of January–September 2025, the Group’s companies paid 543 million UAH in taxes, which is 41% less than in the same period last year (915 million UAH).
