British company Regal Petroleum, a part of Smart Energy, obtained commercial inflow of hydrocarbons from a new development well at Svyrydivske field in Poltava oblast.

Well SV #54 that was spudded in October 2019 has already obtained the commercial inflow of natural gas and gas condensate at the level of 80 Km3/day and 5 t/day respectively. Currently, the well testing is undertaken, while it is hooked-up to the gas processing facilities.

The final depth of the well is 5,322 m. The company gets commercial inflow from B-23 reservoir of the prospective horizon in the Visean formation.

«Modern technologies of well drilling and casing, unique technical solutions, applied while development and testing of well #54, enabled to minimize the negative influence on productive reservoirs, retain their fluid loss properties, obtain strong hydrocarbons flow and put a well on production ahead of schedule,” Viktor Dudzych, CTO of Smart Energy Group, commented.

Earlier, in 4Q, 2019, Smart Energy Group put well #119 on operation at Mekhedivsko-Golotovshchynske field in Poltava oblast. Currently, its average daily production rate is 140 Km3/day for gas and 25 t/day for gas condensate.

The State Budget of Ukraine Received 41% Less Taxes from Smart Holding in the First 9 Months of 2025
As of January–September 2025, the Group’s companies paid 543 million UAH in taxes, which is 41% less than in the same period last year (915 million UAH). This reduction occurred, among other reasons, due to increased government pressure and the blocking of gas production assets of the publicly listed British company Enwell Energy.

We need to distinguish sanctions against individuals and the work of enterprises operating in Ukraine, paying taxes and supporting energy independence
Today, the Ukrainian energy sector lives between two realities: On the one hand, there is an urgent need for its own gas, on the other hand, there are legal norms that actually stop those who can provide this resource.
