Smart Maritime Group Completed Shipment of Over Two Thousand Tons of Steel Structures to YuGOK Ahead of Schedule

Smart Maritime Group has completed the shipment of metal structures for the construction of a new thickener at Southern Mining and Processing Plant (YuGOK, Krivoy Rog city, Dnepropetrovsk region) ahead of schedule.

Within the framework of the contract with YuGOK, a total of more than 2 thousand tons of metal structures were assembled in Nikolaev, and the company's specialists painted them both at Nikolaev and Kherson shipyards of SMG. From August on, a total of 160 heavy cargo trips have been made to deliver the metal structures to the construction site in Krivoy Rog.

The thickener designed by German ENGINEEREING DOBERSEK GMBH consists of three vats with a diameter of 62 meters and a height of 10.9 meters each. For their installation at YuGOK, SMG hired a contractor, Invariant Company from Krivoy Rog.

We remind that SMG and YuGOK signed the contract worth UAH 175 million in February 2018.

As of January–September 2025, the Group’s companies paid 543 million UAH in taxes, which is 41% less than in the same period last year (915 million UAH). This reduction occurred, among other reasons, due to increased government pressure and the blocking of gas production assets of the publicly listed British company Enwell Energy.
